Information on the personnel working for the Public Administrations and their evolution comes from two different sources: one is the Directory of Public Administrations of the Basque Country, which records effective personnel of the Basque Government, Provincial Councils and local bodies and their dependent bodies. The other source of information is the Ministry of Public Administrations, which records the effective personnel working for the dependent general administration, both the central administration and the Basque Administrations, with provincial-level breakdown.
