The measurement of the general state of health of the population takes in a broad array of indicators and sources. Among these, two in particular stand out: perceived or noticed morbidity, which is the self-assessment that the population makes of its state of health and whose data is collected in the "Health Survey", and diagnosed morbidity, which records the diseases/health problems of the population attending a health centre for treatment, reflected in the "Hospital Morbidity" statistics.
