Objective
This indicator seeks to establish the ratio between the number of immigrations registered in one year with respect to the population size.

Concepts and Definitions
This indicator is a quotient per thousand inhabitants by the number of emigrations in a time unit for a determined territorial sphere.
Numerator:
Number of emigrations registered in the Basque Country during a year.
Immigrations: those migrations from a municipality outside the Basque Country (CAE), and even abroad, to one inside the CAE.
Denominator:
The average population in the reference year (1 January to 31 December).
The half-year population forecasts are used until the populations are calculated using the last Census. Therefore, they are likely to be reviewed.
